It features "tool-free" chain adjustment for convenient operation and maintenance as well as a retractable guard for convenient operation and maintenance. The XCU14 can perform up to 140 cuts in 2 in cedar with one fully charged 18 V LXT® 2 Ah battery. Convenience features include a soft-grip handle that is engineered for the user to more easily apply even cutting pressure. It is lightweight at only 3.7 lb with battery for reduced operator fatigue. The 6 in pruning saw features an efficient Makita®-built brushless motor for longer runtime, increased power and speed and longer tool life. Extreme Protection Technology provides improved dust and water resistance for operation in harsh conditions.
