The Drop in the Bucket Mouse Trap® is a mechanism that holds a rotating drum, baited with peanut butter. The baited mechanism is placed on top of a 5 gal bucket. The bucket is not included but any old 5 gal bucket will do. If you need a bucket you can get one from your local hardware, feed or farm and ranch store. The wooden walk board that goes from the ground to the top of the bucket or trap is included. This makes it easier for the mouse to get up on top where the action is. As you probably already know, a mouse can literally go anywhere. No mouse can resist the tantalizing aroma of peanut butter and being the nimble little creature that he is, he hastily ventures out onto the drum to enjoy his new found feast without a worry in the world. But, to his surprise and dismay as his weight shifts, so does the drum. As it spins, down into the bucket he goes. Trying to jump off the drum only makes his fall faster and more certain. By adding about 3 in of water to the bucket, you will insure that he cannot jump to his freedom. His destructive days are all behind him.
