Western Red Cedar, Green, Utility grade lumber. Often described as a 8 ft, 2 x 12 (nominal sizing), this product typically measures 1-1/2 in thick by 11-1/4 in wide. Appearance notes: Rough Sawn. Great for raised beds, planter boxes, retaining walls and other outdoor projects. Cedar is well-known for it's appearance, stability, durability and resistance to insects and decay.

• Western Red Cedar is popular because it’s attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means it’s often used in outdoor applications
• Utility grade lumber is based primarily on utility value instead of appearance and combine a high degree of usefulness and low cost for general construction purposes
